Welcome! The Wheel turns and for the second time, by popular demand Gaia's Womb and Hermetic Journeys unite and invite you to attend an event for both men and women. The Elements, the sacred directions of Earth, Air, Fire and Water. They are quite literally, the stuff of which we and the whole world are made of. Come live them, come to know them through drums, dance, voice and dream work. See them blend to manifest spirit in the form of Faery. Don't miss this exciting opportunity to gain an understanding of the elements as you have never experienced them before.

Spirit Jessica Macbeth is a friend of the fae folk. She is also a healer, spiritual counselor, metaphysical teacher, author, and storyteller. She is the author of the Faeries' Oracle (illustrated by Brian Froud), Moon Over Water (meditation), and Sun Over Mountain (imagery and visualization). Jessica's life-long contact with the various beings of the Otherworld has given her a unique insight on spirit and on the natural elements, energies, and nature of our worlds. She is currently expanding this knowledge by building a home in the wild woods of Washington state with the aid and supervision of the fae.
Jessica will be conducting a workshop on Spirit. In it we will be playing with the nature spirits around us to understand how they can help us better interact with Spirit. We will see how the nature spirits relate to the different elements, and how spirit connects the elements of us all-fae and human-into a unified One. We'll also explore our own elemental natures, and through these explorations gain a better understanding of our own True Natures.

Earth: Helen Bond is a performer, percussionist, educator and storyteller. She is the founder and owner of Medusa's Musical Mysteries, and co-founder of the Performance Ensemble Diamana Diya and the Benkadi Project. Helen travels to Guinea, West Africa (2001, 2002 and 2003) where she lives among the Malinke people. While there, she studies under world-renowned musician Famoudou Konate, grand master of the djembe drum and its orchestra (bass drums-dununs). Helen spends her time learning traditional music, dance, songs and local culture of Guinea.

Helen has enjoyed the benefits of music since her childhood. In turn, she now brings the joy of drumming into your life through her workshops. Her teaching style allows even the novice to experience the joyful feel of community drumming. Helen teaches traditional Malinke rhythms from West Africa as well as non-traditional original compositions. The drum is the first gift our mother ever gives us, the sound of her heartbeat, which mirrors the rhythm of the Earth. The drum awakens our innate creativity and provides a channel for an introspective journey. Reconnect to your primal origins. Join Helen and others to experience the element of Earth through the drum.

Air: Andras Corban Arthen, founder and director of the EarthSpirit Community, was adopted into the traditional practices of a Scottish family of witches in 1969. Andras was chosen to represent the pagan traditions at the United Nations Interfaith Conference in 1991, and was one of the presenters at the Parliament of the World's Religions held in Chicago in 1993. He has been featured in the books Witches and Witchcraft (Time-LifeBooks), Fire in the Head, Never Again the Burning Times, Being a Pagan, A Community of Witches, and The New Pagans, and in the award-winning television program Smithsonian World. He lives with his extended family in Glenwood, a 135-acre pagan conference center and nature preserve in the Berkshire hills of western Massachusetts.

Andras is a folk musician, storyteller and poet. With Deirdre Pulgram Arthen, he has released We Believe, an album of bardic songs, and he is currently working on a recording of magical tales. He also performs with MotherTongue, EarthSpirit's internationally acclaimed ritual performance group. In Andras' workshop we will experience the element of air through breath and voice.

Fire: Reena Tyler and Nataraj Hauser will be offering a session that explores the element of fire through the creative passion of dance. Work with them to unleash your inner dancer in guided dance and discussion of how to keep the spirit of rhythm and dance in the forefront of your daily life. Experience contact improvisational dance, free from the anxiety of accompanying music and rhythm, and any concern about 'knowing the steps'.
Learn techniques offered by urban shaman Gabrielle Roth to explore intuitive movement with five core rhythm patterns: Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical and Stillness. These two techniques will encourage you to stretch your body and your imagination. Finally, explore some basic belly dance moves and concepts to add to your spiritual dancing toolkit. Open discussion throughout will help you think about movement - all movement - as dance, and ways to incorporate it into your life. Dress for easy movement. There will be something here for all levels of mobility.

Water: Selena Fox is a Wiccan priestess, shamanic counselor, and clinical psychotherapist. For more than thirty years, she has been facilitating rituals and workshops throughout the US and other countries. She is author of Goddess Communion Rituals, When Goddess is God, and other works, and is executive director of Circle Sanctuary, an international Wiccan church, Pagan resource center, and Nature preserve in southwestern Wisconsin.
